Scope
Game design and development, visual direction, onboard activation
flyadeal flew its 40 millionth passenger. Instead of saying thank you, we let people play.
The Insight
Milestones are the brand’s moment, not the audience’s.
A “40 million passengers” post usually gets scrolled past. It’s a number that belongs to the airline. To make people care, the celebration had to be something they could take part in.
The Idea
Turn the milestone into a game.
40 million became a level to complete. We built a retro pixel-art game where players fly a flyadeal aircraft through a Saudi skyline, collect points and chase the high score. The nostalgic look made it instantly familiar and easy to share.
Play It
Try to beat the high score.
Designed and developed by me, from the visual style to the game mechanics and code.
Beyond The Screen
The game came on board.
We hid secret gifts around the aircraft, and passengers who found them won prizes. The celebration moved from phones to seats.
Giveaways
Every piece stays in the pixel world
